The March of Providence
The Holy Bible is replete with references to the Providence afforded by the Almighty , and even for “believers” its arrival and our comprehension of it can be frustrating (see note below). My sensing is that General Robert E. Lee comprehended it like no other when he penned, “The march of Providence is so slow, and our desires so impatient; the work of progress is so immense and our means of aiding it so feeble; the life of humanity is so long and are thus discouraged. It is history that teaches up hope.”
Note: See Section 32 (Providence), which is the best section in Executive Courage — Sometimes You Have to Walk Point” in the author’s judgement.
