Intentional Impatience

Impatience is rarely acknowledged as a noteworthy characteristic of the best leaders. However, “intentional impatience” accompanied by the leader’s enthusiasm and appropriate drama (of course, we are all actors to some degree) is a characteristic that can separate the good leaders from the great ones and is routinely observed in those who continually move their organizations forward and up. Moreover, the sense of urgency created by the leader’s impatience keeps the staff at full stretch leaving little time for gossip and grousing.
