Hardening of the Soul

As a moderate Republican (I do not buy everything my party of choice advocates just because it comes from the mouth of a Republican), I realize that the Democratic Party of the past is gone. There is a hardening of the soul of the Democratic Party that is unrecognizable today; the public behavior of the Blumenthals, the Feinsteins, the Harris’, the Bookers and others was clear and present evidence at the Kavanaugh hearings. Statesmanship, Constitutional values, the sanctity of human life, civility, and truth have taken a back seat to incumbency (greed and power), resistance, socialism, and more.

Indescribable corruption within the Obama administration and the Democratic Party is being uncovered on an almost daily basis. Winning the mid-term elections is the only way the Dems can thwart the ongoing investigations into SecState Clinton’s Foundation scandal, attempts at election fraud both against her own party’s Bernie Sanders and candidate Trump, the political wing of the IRS and FBI, the Russian uranium deal, the email felonies, the efforts to pad the voting booths with illegal immigrant votes and “dirty”voting rosters with thousands of deceased names, and the clandestine effort to marginalize religion in America. Many other Dems are involved and some may end up in prison if the Democrats cannot seize the House and/or Senate during the mid-terms.

With the exception of the 2016 presidential election, the November mid-terms may be the most important election of my lifetime. This election is not about Trump; it is about a continuation of conservative values, freedom of religion, rational immigration legislation/policies, strict adherence to the Constitution, school choice, law and order, respect for human life and dignity, and I could go on.

Some have said that we should keep our political feelings to ourselves. Republicans did just that during the Obama administration, and where are we now? We must speak out, take the high ground on civility, and vote in mass.
