War and I knew it

We have spent billions of the American treasure and thousands of American lives, notwithstanding the thousands of disabled veterans in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria, and what has been achieved? President Trump and Tulsi Gabbard (she should be a Republican) had it right a couple of months ago - how long does this have to last before we decide enough is enough. I do not see the other super powers - China and Russia - depleting their national treasure and human resources on hopeless wars as we have done for 18 years. It caused me great dismay to hear the hawks in Congress publicly castigating the Commander in Chief over the pull-out of 1,000 troops from the Turkey and Syria border and hopefully, Afghanistan. Moreover, what could 1,000 troops do against and armor/mechanized attack but give reason for the U.S. to escalate with significant air power causing greater casualties and risk for an expanded conflict. Why is it that those who have never seen a shot fired that wasn’t in sport, seek to be the first in sending Americans in harms way.
