Failure in Wartime Command
Factors within the heart and soul of man cause some with observed intellect and leadership ability to fail in wartime command. Fear of failure, hesitancy to act promptly or seize the moment, the absence of confidence causing self-doubt, the lack of a force of will, and abnormal determination to win, together cause some in command to fail not once but until such time as they are relieved. Ironically, I sometimes see the same characteristics in company, college, and school presidents that I work with in my present capacity.
