"Executive Courage - Sometimes You Have to Walk Point"
“Executive Courage …” is meant to be thought provoking, worthy of discussion, and in some ways challenging. It is not your typical feel good book on leadership. Moreover, the corollaries I include do not fit every scenario and employed by the wrong leader may prove less than productive. That does not mean they are not corollaries, but in the context they are used and with the right leader fit, they are success drivers. Moreover, much of the book is great fodder for dialogue and debate in military schools, college business management courses, and the military where leadership is a core learning objective.
Note: Some leadership skills cannot be taught - one has to step on the hot coals of experience to learn them. Modified from the teachings of author John Gardner, “On Leadership”
