In my experience and observations, alcohol use desensitizes one to the feelings of others and dulls the sensory state sufficiently to disrupt one’s judgment and decision-making ability. It can also summon some demons from within that are otherwise never observed. However, alcohol can also tickle the funny bone creating hilarious moments. That said, it has no standing in the workplace during or after hours.
