As a Presbyterian, I should be a believer in predestination, but somehow I can’t quite buy into the belief that God predestined all that has happened in my life. However, I am a believer in a providence that God ordains in our lives. Too many miracles have occurred in my life that could not have occurred by chance. I also believe that, like providence, we are predisposed to do some things that are pretty close to predestination, but I believe being predisposed leaves more room for us to mess up God’s plan.
