Politics and Politicians

I love this quote from Emperor Marcus Aurelius (C. 160 A.D.) - "For a man's greatness lies not in his wealth and station, nor in his intellectual capacity, which is often associated with the meanest moral character, ... but a man's true greatness lies in in the consciousness of an honest purpose in life."

Here is another quote from one back in the day of honest journalism.  "There is harmony and inner peace to be found in following a moral compass that points in the same direction, regardless of fashion or trend."  Ted Koppel

It seems to me that the word politics has become the symbol and alibi for deceit, spin, cunning, guile, and other disengenuouse behavior.

The above taken from Sections 8 and 9 of "Executive Courage - Sometimes You Have to Walk Point" soon to be published.
