Political Conspiracies
I have cutback on my cable TV news time. I couldn't understand why I never seemed to sleep well anymore until I realized that I was depressed over the dirge that had come over the country. Events such as the blocking of the voter booths in California, the destruction of the Lois Lerner IRS emails and back up tapes, the Benghazi lies and cover up (particularly the scandalous cover story professed by Susan Rice while Hillary more or less "hid out" while never accepting any accountability), the Obama Healthcare/Welfare legislation, the apostasy mostly within the Obama administration and Democratic party, the congressional grandstanding, the explosion of the national debt furthered by Obama Care and exploding welfare rolls, and then came the election with the Wikileaks disclosures of the Clinton dirty-tricks and the Loretta Lynch meeting with Bill Clinton just before Comey cleared Hillary of any criminal acts in the email and foundation debacles wherein any other citizen would have been prosecuted to the extent of the law.
Since then, there has been much more as we have observed "do nothing" Congressional members pummel Trump appointees as if they were interrogating terrorist prisoners. Sadly, the Trump appointees had to sit there politely while seething inside at the show boating of Schumer and others. All the while, the appointees possessed resumes that far exceeded almost any of the interrogators. We had to observe this inquisition giving Schumer and others face time in front of their constituents. Where was the public and media outrage?
It seems to me that public outrage has been successfully squelched since the IRS scandal. Clearly, it made us think twice about what we put in print. Since that time, many have ceased to participate in email exchanges that criticized the actions of the previous administration. Others began to request that email with political comments be sent in blind copy. What message did these actions send relative to our trust in the government?
The Democratic posturing and media actions concerning the so-called Trump-Russia conspiracy have gotten more press than virtually all of the real conspiracies mentioned above and without the slightest evidence of criminal behavior. There is evidence of poor judgment within the administration, but if one wants to see evidence of truly poor judgment, go back to the Benghazi lies or the Clinton visit with Attorney General Lynch. Frankly, I doubt that the Trump campaign team was even capable of pulling off a conspiracy. The Clintons, however, are masters of conspiracy tactics such as spin, cover-up, displaced blame, deceit, and more. But as many have said, they are protected (teflon is the word most commonly used) by the likes of Obama, Lynch, Comey, and the biased media.
The camera-seeking, public profiling by congressional men and women related to Russian interference in the election, while silent over the Clinton interference in the Sanders primary election or Obama interference in the Israeli election, are galling. Of course, we don't want interference in our elections by foreign countries, but we have it at home and little is said or done as evidenced by the Justice Department meddling, the Wikileaks exposures, and other Clinton dirty-tricks. Hillary Clinton paddled through this one also with Justice Department assistance and over watch. The Clinton's always point the blame and are never held accountable. Speaking of non-accountability, we came too close to putting Bill Clinton, a lawyer disbarred for five years by the Supreme Court in 2001 for lying to a Grand Jury, back in the White House. This should be enough to keep us awake at night.
Of course, now we have Democrats accusing Trump Jr. of treason because of an innocuous meeting with a Russian lawyer. I doubt that Trump Jr. would have participated in this meeting were it not for the 6-gun battery assault coming from Democratic side post election. Surely, Trump needed ammunition to deflect the onslaught that continues daily.
The fake tears shed by Schumer over cuts in the "growth" of Medicaid, accompanied by exaggerated numbers of potential deaths if the Senate version of the new healthcare legislation is passed, are all in the name of incumbency. Nonetheless, tears and other exaggerations of outcomes will contribute to the continuous watering down of the healthcare bill and will, like Obama Care, contribute to the financial bankruptcy of the country. When the economy crashes, healthcare will go with it followed by implosion, which we should fear more than any mortal enemy.
