"Executive Courage - Sometimes You Have to Walk Point"

I have recently learned from my publisher that my new book, title above, has gone to layout.  I think that we are close enough to publication to begin to be more specific in marketing the book.

in the book, excecutive courage is distinguished from moral courage and physical courage to describe the challenges inherent in senior leadership.  Although many of the attributes of executive courage are found at all levels of leadership, the focus on this book is on the decision-making inherent in sitting in the corner office.  I describe the trials, tribulations, and sometimes chaos that are part and parcel to successful senior leadership.  It is written for those who are presently senior leaders and those who aspire to senior leadership.  Of course, it is informative for others who are interested in the characterisictics of successful senior leaders.

In this blog, I am going to post a quote several times a week to hopefully attract some interest before publication.  Undoubtedly, some will disagree with me, and my assertions will fly in the face of the techniques of many current senior executives whether in government, private/public business, the military, education and more.

Thus, my two quotes for the day are, "...excellence is not achieved by panty-waisted leaders who seek cover through consensus building, compromise solutions, focus groups, and duplicitious actions."

"Perfect harmony is an indication of averageness (sic) in organizational behavior and the foxhole of the lovers of stasis.
